Ballia Administration on High Alert Ahead of UP Teacher Eligibility Test

Ballia, July 1: The administration in Uttar Pradesh has heightened its vigilance ahead of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) following recent incidents of paper leaks in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) and the Maharashtra TET.

The District Collector of Ballia spoke to a news agency, confirming that preparations for the UP TET are complete. This includes security arrangements, management of examination centers, and ensuring candidate convenience.

The UP TET is scheduled to take place on July 2, 3, and 4. A total of 15 examination centers have been established in Ballia. The test will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and the second from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Approximately 30,000 candidates are expected to participate over the three days, across five shifts. On Tuesday, a review meeting was held with the heads of all examination centers, state magistrates, and police officials to finalize all necessary preparations for the exam.

The District Collector emphasized that all aspects related to the exam preparations have been thoroughly reviewed. Measures are in place to ensure that candidates face no unnecessary difficulties. CCTV cameras and other essential arrangements have been secured. He assured that the TET will be conducted successfully at all examination centers in Ballia.

To ensure security at the centers, both male and female police personnel will be deployed. Officers of sub-inspector and inspector rank will be stationed outside the examination centers, along with armed constables who will transport sensitive materials to the venues. Adequate arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the examination.
