Haridwar, August 4: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has made a heartfelt appeal to devotees to refrain from substance abuse and embrace the essence of Shiva. In a conversation with journalists, he stated that yoga and Ayurveda should become a way of life for healthy individuals.
Baba Ramdev urged Shiva devotees to abandon all forms of intoxication, including bidis, cigarettes, alcohol, hookah, cannabis, and other drugs. He emphasized that Lord Shiva himself did not indulge in any form of intoxication. Any act of violence, destruction, or substance abuse goes against the worship of Shiva and the spirit of true devotion. He called on everyone to embody the essence of Shiva.
Furthermore, Ramdev highlighted the importance of becoming economically and ideologically strong to liberate the country from foreign dominance. He spoke against the divisions created by caste, class, and discrimination, asserting that all ancestors are one. Politically, he stressed the necessity of uniting the nation. Only when the work of dividing society ends will the country be united. For him, the entire world is one family.
The yoga guru asserted that our ancestors were protectors of cows, not killers. He vowed that India would not be allowed to fragment into castes, religions, and communities. He is committed to building a united India.
Regarding Pappu Yadav’s recent appearance in a sadhu attire in Parliament, Ramdev expressed that it is objectionable for anyone to wear saffron and disrespect Sanatan Dharma. He stated that such actions are sinful and criminal from religious, social, democratic, and constitutional perspectives. Anyone wishing to raise issues should do so without targeting saffron, Sanatan, Hindutva, or other faiths. While people have the freedom to raise issues, the Constitution does not permit disrespect towards Hindutva, Sanatan, saffron, Brahmins, or priests.
