Ayodhya, June 1: The International Ram Katha Museum in Ayodhya is rapidly taking shape. This museum will not be limited to traditional exhibitions; it aims to present the life of Lord Ram, his lineage, and the Ram Katha through modern technology and digital mediums in a captivating manner. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, the museum’s director, shared insights about this ambitious project.
Dr. Singh explained that the museum will utilize ‘phygital’ technology, integrating both physical and digital techniques. Visitors will be introduced to the Ram Katha and its historical and religious aspects through modern interactive technologies in various galleries. The goal is not just to provide information but to offer visitors a vibrant and memorable experience.
He mentioned a special gallery named ‘Ikshvaku Vansh Itivrit’, dedicated to Lord Ram’s lineage. This gallery will showcase detailed information about his ancestry, as Lord Ram is associated with the Ikshvaku dynasty.
According to Dr. Singh, efforts are being made to depict generations from the beginning of the lineage to Lord Ram. So far, around 62 generations have been included, prominently mentioned in historical texts and various scriptures.
The museum will not only focus on Lord Ram’s life and lineage but also illustrate the presence and impact of the Ram Katha across the four ages (Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and Kali Yuga) as described in Sanatan traditions. Dr. Singh emphasized that the Ram Katha is relevant not just to the Treta Yuga but continues to resonate across all four ages. With this perspective, the museum will present the traditions related to the Ram Katha, Lord Ram, and his descendants in the context of all four epochs.
Once completed, the International Ram Katha Museum will be a unique confluence of faith, history, and modern technology for devotees and tourists visiting Ayodhya.
