Ayodhya, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Awadhesh Prasad, a member of the Samajwadi Party (SP), has voiced his concerns regarding recent comments made by Vinod Tawde about the Public Distribution System (PDS). Speaking in Ayodhya, Prasad remarked that “everyone is alarmed by the PDS,” suggesting that both the Chief Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are feeling the pressure.
Prasad also commented on the appointment of former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma as the Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He dismissed the significance of this move, asserting that the public is ready to oust the current government. “The trust of the people in the BJP government and its leaders has diminished significantly,” he stated. In contrast, he claimed that the SP and its leader, Akhilesh Yadav, are gaining public confidence.
The SP MP outlined his party’s plans should they come to power, promising financial support for women, laptops for students, assistance for farmers, and government jobs for youth. He vowed to eliminate outsourcing within 24 hours of forming the government and to reinstate education friends to their previous positions.
On the topic of the census, Prasad expressed skepticism about the government’s intentions, highlighting discrepancies in the data collection process. He pointed out that the category for backward castes seems to be missing, suggesting potential manipulation by the government. “A genuine census is necessary, as the current approach appears flawed,” he emphasized.
In a lighter vein, Prasad celebrated the Indian women’s cricket team’s recent victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup, commending the players for their talent and contribution to the nation’s pride.
Responding to Dhirendra Shastri’s statement that “this country belongs to Raghubar, not Babar,” Prasad asserted, “This country belongs to everyone. It is not yours or mine; it is ours collectively. Misunderstanding this could lead to loss for all.”
