
Rewari, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Naib Saini inaugurated a youth marathon in Rewari on Sunday, marking a significant step in the fight against drug abuse. Speaking to the crowd, he expressed his delight at gathering with so many energetic young people.
“You all represent the spirit of Rewari, which has committed to a decisive battle against drugs,” Saini stated. He highlighted the significance of the marathon, noting that every step taken by participants in the 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer races is a strong stance against substance abuse.
The marathon, themed “Waging War Against Drugs with Rewari,” aims to raise awareness and will resonate throughout Haryana. The government views drug abuse as a critical issue affecting families and the future of youth in the state. To combat this, Saini announced that measures for action, awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation have been established at all levels.
He also mentioned the formation of a Special Task Force to effectively tackle drug trafficking and the establishment of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau. The government is dedicated to achieving a drug-free Haryana and is actively working on its Action Plan 2029.
In a recent post on social media platform X, Saini emphasized the importance of service and commitment, stating, “Service is our resolve, dedication is our identity, and a developed India is our goal.” He also discussed upcoming programs during a state-level review meeting of the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” in Chandigarh, which will take place from September 17 to October 17, commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service.
