August 5 Panchang: Auspicious Worship of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Mahalaxmi

New Delhi, August 4: The Panchang holds significant importance in Hinduism. Before undertaking any auspicious task, journey, investment, or worship, it is essential to consult the Panchang. This traditional calendar is based on the positions of the sun, moon, and other celestial bodies.

On August 5, 2026 (Wednesday), the Krishna Paksha Saptami Tithi will last until 8:42 PM. Following this, the Ashtami Tithi will commence. It is considered highly beneficial to worship Lord Ganesha, Goddess Mahalaxmi, and Lord Shiva during the month of Sawan.

On Wednesday, sunrise will occur at 6:03 AM, and sunset will be at 7:02 PM. The moon will rise at 11:14 PM and set the next day at 12:56 PM. According to the Panchang, on August 5, 2026, the sun will be positioned in the Ashlesha Nakshatra, while the moon will remain in the Ashwini Nakshatra until 9:17 PM, after which the Bharani Nakshatra will begin.

There will be no Harshan Yoga on Wednesday; however, Shool Yoga will be in effect until 5:30 PM, followed by Gand Yoga. The Abhijit Muhurat, considered the most auspicious time of the day, will be from 12:00 PM to 12:53 PM. The Amrit Kaal will occur from 2:17 PM to 3:50 PM.

Additionally, Rahu Kaal will be from 12:32 PM to 2:10 PM, and Gulika Kaal will last from 10:55 AM to 12:32 PM. Yamagand Kaal will be from 7:40 AM to 9:18 AM. According to traditional beliefs, it is advisable to avoid starting new ventures during these times, as they are considered inauspicious.

On Wednesday, the sun will be in the Cancer zodiac sign, while the moon will be in Aries. There will be a directional obstacle (Disha Shool) in the north. According to astrology and Vastu, it is recommended to avoid traveling in this direction. If travel is unavoidable, certain astrological remedies can be adopted before departure.
