Lucknow, August 28: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Om Prakash Rajbhar, the national president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, launched a sharp attack on Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party (SP). Rajbhar questioned Yadav, asking if he could offer the women of Uttar Pradesh a gift that guarantees their safety and respect from the alleged goons of the SP.
Rajbhar took to the social media platform X, stating, “Akhilesh Ji, today is Raksha Bandhan. Just promise the sisters of UP that your goons will not cast dirty looks, harass them, or do anything wrong. Can you give this gift to the sisters of UP?”
He also extended Raksha Bandhan greetings to the citizens, writing, “Heartfelt wishes to all countrymen and residents of the state on this sacred festival of brother-sister love, unwavering trust, and affectionate relationships. This auspicious occasion promotes love, belonging, and mutual trust within families. It symbolizes the affection, respect, and dignity of relationships inherent in our rich Indian culture. May this festival bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to everyone’s lives; this is my prayer.”
Earlier, Rajbhar had targeted the SP chief on social media, quoting, “Awake, traveler, dawn has arrived; where is the night that you are sleeping?” He added, “Akhilesh Bhai, this hymn is for you. Wake up, open your eyes.” He questioned Yadav’s courage to address a public meeting in Saharanpur, suggesting that the opposition against him is growing stronger.
Rajbhar criticized the SP leader for using derogatory terms for various communities and questioned the satisfaction Yadav derives from disrespecting non-Yadav OBC castes. He warned that the era of using force to establish government ended in 2017 and will not return.
He concluded by stating that after the flop rally in Dadri, Yadav lacks the courage to hold another meeting, and the impact of opposition is beginning to show in Western Uttar Pradesh, with the entire state preparing to respond similarly. Rajbhar claimed he was offering this advice as a well-wisher.
