Mumbai, May 11: BJP legislator Atul Bhatkhalkar has voiced strong opinions on various political issues. He backed Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane’s statement against Asaduddin Owaisi and accused Nida Khan of involvement in anti-national activities. Bhatkhalkar asserted that strict legal action would be taken against anyone involved in such activities, even comparing Owaisi to Osama bin Laden.
In an interview with a news agency, Bhatkhalkar stated, “The AIMIM’s tendencies lean towards anti-national activities. The AIMIM councilor from Sambhaji Nagar provided refuge to Nida Khan, and strict legal measures will be enforced against her.”
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s comments opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal, Bhatkhalkar remarked, “Rahul Gandhi is an inactive person, and we do not give him much importance. Despite the Ukraine-Russia war and the America-Iran conflict, PM Modi has kept the entire nation secure. As a national leader, PM Modi has appealed to the public, and the people of India, along with BJP workers, will heed his call. People will follow the appeal not to buy gold this year.”
He further emphasized, “We import nearly 80% of our energy needs. It has been a month since the Strait of Hormuz was closed. In such circumstances, where both the country and the world are in crisis, not only the government but the public must also contribute. I believe the Prime Minister’s appeal is very appropriate.”
Bhatkhalkar also criticized the Congress party, stating, “Congress has yet to announce the name of the Chief Minister for Kerala. This indicates a lack of coordination between Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi. It proves that in the coming days, Congress will face challenges in Kerala as well.”
He concluded by highlighting the significance of the Somnath Temple, calling it a great heritage of India’s cultural legacy. “Despite repeated Mughal invasions, the temple has stood firm. After India’s independence, Sardar Patel and Dr. Rajendra Prasad restored it. It is a major symbol of Indian culture, and as we celebrate 75 years of this initiative, there is a festive atmosphere across the country.”
