New Delhi, April 3: In response to allegations made by Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, former Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi has fired back. She questioned why Chadha is afraid to ask the government tough questions. According to her, the Election Commission is being misused, and he seems hesitant to speak out against it.
Atishi, who serves as the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, shared a video on the social media platform ‘X’. In the video, she directly addressed Chadha, stating, “Why are you afraid to question the government? Our democracy and constitution are under threat. The misuse of the Election Commission is allowing elections in West Bengal to be stolen right before our eyes. Yet, you remain silent on this issue. Are you scared to speak out?”
She further added, “The biggest crisis facing the nation today is the rising cost of LPG gas cylinders. As a Rajya Sabha MP, you may not feel the pinch, but ordinary families are struggling to cook meals for their children. When the Aam Aadmi Party raised questions about the cylinder prices and urged you to speak up, you chose to remain silent. Are you afraid of the government?”
In addition, Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also criticized Raghav Chadha. In a video shared on ‘X’, he stated, “We are true soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal. The only lesson we have learned from him is to fight with courage and determination. Unfortunately, I must say that you do not sign proposals against the Chief Election Commissioner. You remain quiet on issues concerning Punjab and fail to raise your voice against the government.”
Sanjay Singh emphasized, “You (Raghav Chadha) do not speak on matters related to the country, public interest, the party, or its workers. When the central government undermines Punjab’s rights, you stay silent. There are numerous issues where you do not walk out of the house when it matters. The nation expects answers from you on these critical topics.”
It is noteworthy that the Aam Aadmi Party recently removed Raghav Chadha from the position of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. Following this, he publicly claimed that attempts were being made to silence him.
