Assams Diksha Initiative Launched to Boost Education for Students

Guwahati, August 2: A significant educational initiative named ‘Diksha’ was launched on Sunday to enhance the academic progress of students and educated youth in the Biswanath assembly constituency of Assam. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Ranoj Pegu, the Minister of Education and Guardian Minister of Biswanath district, at the Kamalakanta Natya Samaj auditorium.

During the event, Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu announced, “Soon, studies will commence across the state via YouTube.”

The program was attended by several dignitaries, including Syed Zarir Hussain, Managing Director of News Live, District Commissioner Karbi Sakiya Karan, Principal of Biswanath District Medical College Dr. Hiranya Bora, and District BJP President Asim Kumar Das.

Under this initiative, 30 talented students from Biswanath will receive completely free coaching for national competitive exams like NEET and JEE. The responsibility for this group, named ‘Super 30’, will be handled by the leading educational institution Helian.

It is noteworthy that online education is gaining significant traction today. This trend provides considerable relief to students, especially those from remote areas, as they no longer need to travel for quality education. Additionally, it allows them to access quality education at minimal costs.
