
Guwahati, May 31: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 22 Home Guard positions under the Assam Home and Political Department. Interested candidates must submit their applications by June 7.
The online application process commenced on May 8. Candidates wishing to apply can register on the official website before the deadline. The last date for payment of the application fee is set for June 9.
Applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognized institution or university in any subject. Additionally, candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria and skills. The minimum age for applicants is 21 years, while the maximum age is capped at 38 years, calculated as of January 1. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a written examination, physical standards/physical efficiency test (PET), medical standards test, interview/personality test, document verification, and the final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹22,000 to ₹97,000, along with a grade pay of ₹11,800 and additional benefits.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹297.20 for General candidates, ₹197.20 for OBC/MOBC candidates, and ₹47.20 for SC/ST/BPL/PWD candidates.
To apply online, candidates should first visit the official APSC website. After reaching the homepage, they need to click on the active application link for the relevant position. Following this, they should register and log in. All required information must be entered into the form, and documents should be uploaded in the correct size. After paying the registration fee, candidates can submit the form. Lastly, it is advisable to print a copy of the application form for future reference.
