Dispur, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : A significant opportunity has arisen for job seekers in the medical field. The Medical and Health Recruitment Board (MHRA) of Assam has announced the recruitment of 560 Medical Officer-I (M & H O-I) positions. This official notification invites qualified candidates to apply.
Among the 560 vacancies, there are 316 open (unreserved) positions, 140 for OBC/MOBC, 23 for SC, 58 for ST (plain), and 23 for ST (hills). The online application process commenced on September 7, with a deadline set for September 20. Interested candidates can complete their registration on the official website of the National Health Mission (NHM), Assam.
Applicants must possess an MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and must be registered with the Assam Medical Council. The age requirement ranges from a minimum of 21 years to a maximum of 38 years, calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Details regarding the selection process will be announced later. The board will determine the selection procedure based on the number of applications received. Selected candidates can expect a salary ranging from ₹30,000 to ₹1,10,000, along with a grade pay of ₹12,700 per month, and additional benefits.
While filling out the application, candidates are required to pay the application fee online, which is set at ₹250 for general candidates and ₹150 for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P)/ST (H) candidates. Persons with disabilities are exempt from the registration fee.
