
New Delhi, July 1: The application process for the India Life Sciences Award (BLSA) 2026 has officially begun. This initiative aims to recognize outstanding contributions in scientific research, innovation, and public health within India’s life sciences ecosystem. Supported by a grant of ₹7 crore, the award honors exceptional scientists, research institutions, universities, startups, and ecosystem leaders who are advancing healthcare and life sciences.
This initiative is organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in collaboration with Lilly, with support from the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and Invest India.
The BLSA includes six honors across five categories: individual excellence, collaborative innovation, institutional excellence, healthcare, and life sciences startups, as well as scientific ecosystem development. Grant support is available in four categories, while two categories recognize outstanding contributions in innovation and ecosystem building.
The online application process for the India Life Sciences Award (BLSA) 2026 commenced on July 1, with a deadline set for August 10. Researchers, scientists, public research institutions, universities, and private sector innovators are eligible to apply.
Interested candidates must complete their registration process successfully on the official BLSA website before or by the final date. All applicants will receive a full waiver of the application fee.
All submissions for the India Life Sciences Award will be evaluated by an independent jury through a transparent assessment process. Applicants are advised to visit the official website for eligibility criteria and other related information.
