
Beijing, July 1: Chinese Premier Li Qiang recently directed the State Council to implement new regulations aimed at enhancing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for retired soldiers. These rules will take effect on August 1 of this year.
The primary goal of the regulations is to increase job prospects for retired military personnel, recognize their human resource potential, protect their legal rights, and elevate their status in society.
According to the regulations, the approach to employment and entrepreneurship for retired soldiers will adhere to principles of inclusivity and generosity. With government incentives, market guidance, and societal support, retired soldiers will receive encouragement and assistance in their job pursuits and entrepreneurial endeavors. They will also be provided with guidance to make informed career choices.
Additionally, the government will strengthen educational and training opportunities for retired soldiers. They will be eligible for subsidies and benefits under a generous policy when participating in national education exams and pursuing formal education.
Moreover, the regulations outline preferred employment measures and support initiatives for entrepreneurship.
