Tirupati, July 1: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Wednesday that the state is ahead of others in green energy production.
He stated that the state government has planned to produce 160 gigawatts of electricity in the green energy sector, having already signed agreements for 100 gigawatts.
Naidu made these remarks during the foundation stone-laying ceremony of Hero MotoCorp’s ‘Global Parts Center 2.0’ in Madanapalle, located in the Tirupati district.
He claimed that the government is making revolutionary decisions to promote industrial development in the state and is currently implementing the ‘Speed of Doing Business’ protocol.
According to him, the state has adequate road, rail, port, and air connectivity to meet industrial needs. Measures have also been initiated to ensure water supply for both agriculture and industries, making farmers partners in the state’s ongoing development.
Naidu emphasized that the government is taking all necessary steps to enable industries to commence production, going beyond merely signing agreements.
He assured that all essential infrastructure would be provided to industries. Companies like Google are establishing data centers in Visakhapatnam, but are proceeding cautiously regarding the availability of resources for these centers.
The Chief Minister urged the company to commence the expansion of the plant, which involves an investment of ₹3,200 crores as previously announced.
