Mumbai, June 6: Actor Anup Soni reminisced about his memorable experiences while working on one of his most notable films, ‘Hathiyaar,’ during a recent social media post.
On Friday night, Soni shared a clip from the 2002 crime drama film, showcasing his performance. He discussed how this role pushed him out of his comfort zone, allowing him to portray a character unlike any he had played before.
In the shared video, Soni appears rugged and intense. He expressed, “Even today, nothing excites me more than playing a character that is completely different from my previous roles. ‘Hathiyaar’ gave me the opportunity to portray a character that was entirely distinct from the image people had of me at that time.”
He further elaborated, “The character’s language, style, and unpredictable behavior were all very different from my real life, making this experience both challenging and thrilling.”
Soni also mentioned that working under the direction of Mahesh Manjrekar alongside Sanjay Dutt, Sachin Khedekar, Gulshan Grover, Shilpa Shetty, and Sharad Kapoor made the journey even more memorable. Reflecting on his career, he stated, “I take the most joy in having the chance to explore different worlds and aspects of various people through the characters I have portrayed.”
