Amaravati, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Thursday that the Andhra Pradesh government is actively investing to transform Araku into a premier global coffee destination. Speaking on the occasion of International Coffee Day, he emphasized the importance of coffee for millions worldwide, stating that many start their day with that first sip.
In a post on the social media platform X, Naidu highlighted that for him, coffee begins with Araku, a taste of Andhra Pradesh’s rich heritage. He expressed pride in celebrating the incredible journey of Araku coffee, from the vibrant hills of the state to coffee cups around the globe.
Naidu reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering local producers and ensuring that Andhra Pradesh secures its rightful place on the world coffee map.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also extended greetings to the public in honor of International Coffee Day. He shared his thoughts on Araku coffee, describing how every cup embodies “the fragrance of the Eastern Ghats, its rich soil, and the hard work of our tribal farmers.”
Kalyan expressed pride in celebrating Araku coffee, which he believes represents more than just flavor and aroma. It symbolizes the bond between their forests, tribal communities, and traditional knowledge. He noted that the journey of Araku coffee—from the valleys to the Parliament in New Delhi, where it has been showcased—illustrates how a local product connected to communities can tell India’s story to the wider world.
He also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recognized the contributions of tribal families involved in Araku coffee cultivation. Kalyan urged everyone to celebrate the farmers, forests, and Eastern Ghats that make every cup of coffee possible, and to work towards bringing Araku coffee from the hills of Andhra Pradesh to every corner of the globe. A cup of Araku coffee, he said, is a taste of the earth, a narrative of its people, and the essence of the Eastern Ghats.
