Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to Hold Roadshow in Madurantakam Ahead of By-Elections

Madurantakam, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vetria Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay is set to hold a roadshow in Madurantakam on October 6. This event is aimed at rallying support for party candidate Maragatham Kumaravel ahead of the upcoming assembly by-elections.

Voting in the Madurantakam and Dharapuram constituencies is scheduled for Tuesday, with a five-way contest expected in both areas. As the election draws near, candidates and party leaders are intensifying their efforts to secure votes.

Vijay will kick off his visit with prayers at the Adhiparasakthi Temple in Melmaruvathur, followed by a tribute at the memorial of spiritual leader Bangaru Adigalar. After these ceremonies, he will head towards the constituency for the roadshow.

The roadshow is planned from 4 PM to 9 PM and will cover several key locations, including Mamandur, Padalam Junction, and the Karunguzhi Ayyanar Temple area. Preparations along the proposed route are already in full swing.

The TVK leadership has instructed party lawmakers to oversee arrangements, deploying one legislator for every five-kilometer stretch to ensure coordination and support mobilization during the Chief Minister’s visit.

On Friday, Vijay is expected to participate in another election rally to bolster Kumaravel’s campaign. During his previous visit on September 25, he urged voters to teach a lesson to what he termed “evil forces” and other opponents through their votes in the by-elections.

As the party seeks to strengthen its campaign in the final phase of the electoral race, the roadshow will traverse several neighborhoods, allowing the TVK to connect with a significant portion of Madurantakam’s electorate.

Leaders from TVK’s allied parties have also been active in campaigning within this constituency. With just five days left until voting, the focus of electioneering in both Madurantakam and Dharapuram has shifted to public meetings and constituency tours to rally support and make final appeals to voters.
