CM Yogi Adityanath Criticizes Opposition, Celebrates Modis 25 Years of Public Service

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath defends PM Modis initiatives while marking 25 years of his public service in a recent event.

Lucknow, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath targeted the opposition on Friday, asserting that while the government opened Jan Dhan accounts, critics mocked the initiative, questioning its effectiveness. He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has effectively emptied the pockets of those who misappropriated public funds, ensuring that financial aid reaches the poor directly.

Adityanath spoke at a theatrical event titled “Namo Seva Ankhahi Kahaniyan,” part of the Seva Sankalp campaign celebrating Modi’s 25 years of public service, which began on September 17. The event showcased performances by artists from the Bharatendu Natya Academy, under the Cultural Department.

He highlighted that on October 7, Modi will mark 25 years of service, first as Gujarat’s Chief Minister and then as Prime Minister. Adityanath emphasized that this journey has been characterized by unwavering dedication to public service, with a focus on equitable distribution of benefits across various societal segments.

Reflecting on Modi’s leadership during challenging times, he noted that when Modi took charge in Gujarat in 2001, the state was grappling with the aftermath of a devastating earthquake and subsequent communal riots. Despite these challenges, Gujarat emerged as a model of rapid development.

The Chief Minister criticized the previous Congress-led UPA government, citing issues of corruption and instability that led to widespread distrust among citizens. He asserted that since 2014, Modi has garnered the support of the rural population, farmers, youth, and women, focusing on inclusive policies that transcend caste, religion, and language.

Adityanath praised the government’s initiatives that have successfully delivered housing, cooking gas, sanitation, health insurance, and free rations to the needy. He also noted the creation of new job opportunities and the expansion of infrastructure, including highways, expressways, railways, and airports, emphasizing that even those from humble backgrounds can now travel by air.

He called for October 7 to be a day of inspiration for all Indians, linking it to the vision of a self-reliant and developed India by August 15, 2047. The theatrical presentation depicted the devastation of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake and Modi’s journey of public service.

The Chief Minister appreciated the performance and instructed that it should be presented across the state, incorporating local dialects and folk songs from different regions. He also commended the child artists and the Bharatendu Natya Academy team, taking photographs with them after the event. Adityanath paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries.
