Bhuj, May 29: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will be in Kutch, Gujarat, today as part of his tour. He will assess security arrangements along the India-Pakistan border and meet with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel.
According to the official schedule, Shah will begin his day by inaugurating the G-7 border outpost. Following this, he will engage in discussions with BSF soldiers.
The event will take place at the G-7 border post, located near Bhuj. There is also a possibility that Shah will participate in the ‘Prahar Conference’ organized by the BSF during his visit.
In the afternoon, the Home Minister will visit the control room at OP Tower-1170, where he will review the monitoring and surveillance systems deployed in this sensitive border area.
Officials have indicated that Shah will observe the live feed from PTZ surveillance cameras. These cameras are crucial for monitoring the border in the marshy and challenging terrains of Kutch.
Following this, Shah will tour the Harami Nala area, where he will visit the creek region by boat and participate in a planting program at the jetty point.
Harami Nala is an extremely sensitive area along the India-Pakistan border, located near Sir Creek in Kutch, Gujarat. The region is considered highly challenging from a security perspective due to its shallow waterways, marshy land, and complex creek network. The threat of infiltration, smuggling, and suspicious boat movements remains a constant concern.
Later in the day, at 3 PM, Amit Shah will chair a meeting at the BSF sector headquarters to discuss border-related issues. Senior BSF officials and representatives from other security agencies will be present.
Shah’s visit to Bhuj is part of his multi-state border tour, which began earlier this week and includes Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tripura, and West Bengal. The aim of this tour is to review border security preparations, monitoring frameworks, and coordination among various security agencies.
Earlier this week, Amit Shah visited border areas in Rajasthan, where he emphasized the need for better coordination and vigilance along the international border.
