AIIMS Secures 105th Position in QS World University Rankings for Medical Schools

New Delhi, June 18: The QS World University Rankings have showcased India’s prominence in higher education this year, with 52 institutions making the list. Notably, 13 Indian universities have secured spots in the ‘Global Top-550’.

Among these, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has achieved a remarkable 105th position, establishing itself as one of the leading medical universities globally.

In a recent post on its social media platform ‘X’, AIIMS Delhi expressed pride in this achievement, stating, “We are honored to be among the world’s best universities. AIIMS, ranked 105th in the QS World University Rankings, is one of the top medical universities worldwide.”

The post further highlighted AIIMS’s commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, and research across basic, clinical, and translational fields. AIIMS is shaping the future of healthcare in India and globally through advancements in diagnostic kits, artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, and strong governance.

In addition to AIIMS, the QS World University Rankings also recognized IIT Delhi, which remains India’s highest-ranked institution at 118th globally. IIT Bombay and IIT Madras are also featured in the rankings.

For the second consecutive year, IIT Delhi has improved its position from 123rd in 2026 to 118th in 2027, reinforcing its status as a leading institution.

The QS World University Rankings is a prestigious annual list published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), assisting students in making informed decisions about higher education worldwide.
