Ahmedabad Plane Crash: Commemorating Victims and Managing the Aftermath

Ahmedabad, June 12: On the first anniversary of the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, Municipal Commissioner Banchhanidhi Pani paid tribute to the victims. He detailed the steps taken by the administration to manage the situation following the disaster.

According to Commissioner Pani, as soon as the news of the crash broke, the administration promptly dispatched teams from the fire department, health department, and engineering department to the scene. The central government, state government, and municipal corporation played crucial roles in coordinating efforts to control the situation.

Over 90 ambulances and more than 60 fire department vehicles were sent to the crash site. The deceased were transported to hospitals, and children trapped in the hostel that the plane had crashed into were also taken to medical facilities. The administration ensured that no effort was spared in managing the crisis effectively.

To address any lingering questions, death certificates were issued to the families of the victims. DNA sampling was initiated to confirm the identities of all individuals involved.

The crash was particularly devastating due to the large amount of fuel involved, creating a catastrophic situation. This unfortunate incident still sends chills down the spine when recalled. The fire department, police, and other agencies provided significant assistance in managing the aftermath.
