New Delhi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : On September 14, Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, extended his warm wishes to the Indian populace on the occasion of Hindi Day. Notably, he delivered his message in Hindi, showcasing his language skills.
Azar shared a video of his message on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In his post, he wrote, “Hindi and Hebrew, two ancient languages that are still vibrant today. On Hindi Day, I wish you all heartfelt greetings from Israel.”
In the video, he stated, “Namaste, I am Reuven Azar, the Israeli Ambassador to India. I arrived in India two years ago and began learning Hindi then. Today, on Hindi Day, I send my warmest wishes to all of you.”
Israel has consistently referred to India as a close friend. The country often participates in various Indian festivals, demonstrating its goodwill.
Previously, during the festival of Raksha Bandhan, the Israeli embassy celebrated the occasion by having Indian sisters tie rakhi to political advisor Nittai Ben-Haim. The embassy linked this event to the strong relationship between the two nations, emphasizing their camaraderie. A video of the rakhi ceremony was shared on X, captioned, “India + Israel = a bond of strong and beautiful friendship!”
