Sambhal, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : Acharya Pramod Krishnam, the head of Kalki Peeth, recently addressed comments made by Dhirendra Shastri, the head of Bageshwar Dham, regarding dietary advice for Bengalis during Durga Puja. Shastri had suggested that Bengalis should avoid non-vegetarian food during the festival. In response, Krishnam acknowledged Shastri as a revered saint but chose not to directly comment on his statement.
Krishnam urged the Hindu community to take charge of their children’s upbringing and future. He emphasized the importance of instilling the right values and culture in the younger generation. Using metaphors of a ‘bull’ and a ‘lion,’ he illustrated the need for strong character development among children.
He stated that it is crucial for Hindus to decide what kind of individuals they want their children to become. A resilient and courageous generation, he argued, would fulfill its responsibilities towards the nation and foster a spirit of patriotism.
Additionally, Krishnam took a jab at Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav over a poster outside the party headquarters in Lucknow that read, “Jan-jan ka Janadesh, Badlega Uttar Pradesh” (The mandate of the people will change Uttar Pradesh). He remarked that Yadav is merely dreaming, referencing similar slogans from the 2017 assembly elections.
Krishnam also reflected on the 2022 assembly elections, noting that Yadav had ambitions of forming a government, which were complicated by events involving his uncle, Shivpal Yadav. He claimed that the people of Uttar Pradesh currently support Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, although he acknowledged this as his personal political assessment.
On Rahul Gandhi’s announcement of engaging with students again on September 19 in Indore, Krishnam criticized the Congress leader’s lack of direction. He humorously suggested that Gandhi should visit Bageshwar Dham to seek guidance from Shastri, implying that it might lead to a moment of clarity for him.
