BJP Womens Wing Protests Outside Congress Headquarters, Accuses Rahul and Priyanka of Misconduct

New Delhi, October 8 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions escalated in New Delhi on October 8 as the BJP’s women’s wing staged a protest outside the Congress headquarters, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The demonstration was fueled by allegations against Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, accusing them of mistreating female police officers and security personnel.

Protesters from the BJP claimed that during the demonstration, Congress leaders and their supporters displayed inappropriate behavior towards on-duty police officers and engaged in physical altercations with security forces.

The situation intensified when several Delhi police officers spoke to the media about their experiences during the protest. Constable Deepender Sandhu alleged that he was attacked from behind while informing protesters about the enforcement of Section 163. He stated that he was knocked to the ground and assaulted.

Similarly, Head Constable Bhupender Ahluwalia reported being pulled down from behind and physically assaulted during the event. He noted that the assailant was later aided by other protesters in fleeing the scene.

Female Constable Seema also reported sustaining injuries during the protest. She mentioned that while police officers typically disregard their own injuries while on duty, she later realized she had been hurt when attempting to detain protesting legislators.

In response to the incidents, the Delhi police have registered multiple FIRs regarding the alleged misconduct, pushing back against the claims of violence. They emphasize that their officers were deployed to maintain security and uphold public order.

Meanwhile, Congress and leaders from the India Alliance continue to protest against the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Review (SIR) process, raising concerns about the fairness of decisions related to the electoral process.

As the political clash between the BJP and Congress unfolds, police are actively investigating the complaints lodged by their officers.
