ABVPs Demand Supported by Hussain Dalwai: Remove Jinnah-Related Content from Syllabus

Mumbai, March 20: Senior Maharashtra Congress leader Hussain Dalwai has voiced his support for the ABVP’s demand to remove any content related to Muhammad Ali Jinnah from the syllabus. Dalwai stated that if such material is included, it should be eliminated, asserting that the ABVP’s request is justified.

The All India Students’ Council (ABVP) recently staged a vigorous protest on the Jammu University campus against the inclusion of Jinnah in the new syllabus issued by the Political Science department.

In an interview in Mumbai, Dalwai remarked that Jinnah was responsible for the partition of the country. He emphasized that any article praising him should be removed. “I don’t believe the ABVP’s demand is wrong in any way,” he added.

Responding to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s comments, Dalwai claimed that the Congress party is not sidelining Tharoor; rather, he is distancing himself. He suggested that Tharoor is eager to align himself with Prime Minister Modi and is clearing a path towards the BJP. Dalwai stated that the Congress party has taken the right stance by ignoring him.

Dalwai also countered remarks made by BJP MP regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He stated that Kangana Ranaut should not make such comments about Rahul, as he has never disrespected women. “Perhaps this is something Kangana does not understand,” he remarked.

On the statements made by MLA T Raja, Dalwai urged Chief Minister Fadnavis to take action against him. He criticized individuals who create rifts between Hindus and Muslims, questioning why such people are allowed to enter Maharashtra, a state known for its peaceful coexistence. Dalwai called for transparency regarding any police action taken in response to the MLA’s comments.
