
Mumbai, March 20: Excitement is brewing in the South Indian film industry as renowned director Mani Ratnam gears up for his next project. His production company, Madras Talkies, officially announced that the Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman will provide the music for the upcoming film.
Fans are thrilled by this news, as Rahman and Ratnam have previously collaborated on several memorable tracks.
Initially, there were rumors about the involvement of a new music director for this film. However, those speculations have been put to rest with the official confirmation from Madras Talkies that A.R. Rahman will indeed be the composer. The duo of Ratnam and Rahman is celebrated as one of the most successful partnerships in Indian cinema, having produced numerous hit albums together.
The production house shared the announcement via their Instagram account, revealing that the music will be handled by A.R. Rahman, with Sony Music as the music partner. The film will be presented by Lyca Productions and directed by Mani Ratnam, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. This romantic entertainer is highly anticipated.
Reports indicate that filming for this project may commence this summer, with some sources suggesting a start date in July. However, this has yet to be officially confirmed.
