BJP Calls for Strict Action Against Paper Leak Offenders in West Bengal

Kolkata, July 24: BJP legislators Debashish Dhar and Subrata Thakur have welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video message addressing reforms related to paper leak cases. They also supported West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s ‘zero tolerance’ stance against corruption. The legislators emphasized that stringent action against corruption is essential for the state’s development and good governance.

Debashish Dhar highlighted that the ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards corruption has been a part of the BJP’s electoral manifesto. He stated that the party is committed to implementing this pledge, noting that corruption had deeply permeated every sector during the previous government’s tenure. It is crucial to eradicate this issue from its roots.

Welcoming Prime Minister Modi‘s message on paper leak cases, Dhar asserted that the Prime Minister advocates for strict action against offenders. He mentioned that some political parties are attempting to create chaos in the country, with support from external sources, which undermines India’s sovereignty.

Subrata Thakur also backed the zero tolerance policy against corruption. He remarked that to achieve the goals of a developed India and a developed West Bengal, decisive measures must be taken. He accused the administrative system in West Bengal of being plagued by corruption and bribery for decades. He pointed out that without bribes, work in government offices and local bodies does not proceed, causing distress to the public. If this system is not dismantled, proper development in West Bengal will remain unattainable.

Regarding the reforms related to paper leaks, Thakur called for a fair and comprehensive investigation into the entire matter. He stressed the need to identify those behind the paper leaks, the support they receive, and whether any external forces or organized networks are involved.

Thakur also welcomed the Prime Minister’s announcement to introduce legislation addressing paper leaks. He noted that Prime Minister Modi is consistently taking significant steps towards strengthening the nation and achieving the goal of a developed India. Efforts to undermine the unity and integrity of a diverse country like India have occurred over time, but the central government is firmly countering such attempts. The government is working to protect the country from external challenges while also taking solid steps to make the education system transparent and free from corruption.
