Lucknow, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a strong stance against previous administrations on the issue of government jobs during a recent appointment letter distribution event. He claimed that his government has issued approximately 950,000 appointment letters to young people in various departments through a transparent process. Adityanath announced that in the next six months, more than 100,000 additional job appointments will be made.
Targeting the opposition, he challenged those questioning his government’s recruitment process to count the number of appointments made. “The results of the 950,000 letters issued transparently are evident,” he stated.
Adityanath emphasized that when recruitment boards and commissions are free from political interference, and examinations are conducted transparently and fairly, positive outcomes follow. He recalled a time before 2017 when Uttar Pradesh experienced frequent riots and extended curfews. He accused previous governments of corrupting the recruitment process by favoring relatives and friends, leading to a complete breakdown of integrity in hiring.
He asserted that during that period, no recruitment was conducted honestly, forcing many young people to migrate in search of better opportunities. “Young people faced a dilemma; it was either a well or a pit,” he said. Adityanath noted that individuals were not given opportunities based on merit, which created an identity crisis among the youth. He criticized the mentality of past administrations, labeling it as “sick” and their practices as corrupt.

This announcement comes as the state government has initiated a campaign to provide 100,000 government jobs within six months. Adityanath also questioned the operations of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission under the previous government, claiming that an unqualified individual was appointed as its chairman, which ultimately led to judicial intervention.
He criticized the previous administration for creating an identity crisis for the youth, stating, “The uncle-nephew duo would exploit these jobs, and now those same individuals are acting as moral guides.” He added, “After 2027, even these guides will not be able to survive.”
Adityanath accused the opposition of jeopardizing the future of Uttar Pradesh’s youth and neglecting the safety of women, farmers, and the interests of ordinary citizens. He concluded by asserting that the current government has transformed law enforcement and recruitment processes, ensuring transparent job appointments for the youth. During the September 19 event, selected candidates from various departments were presented with their appointment letters.
