Lucknow, 2 January. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the work of the Revenue Department on Friday and issued several important instructions. The CM emphasized that all revenue matters in the state should be resolved merit-wise, whether related to measurement, name changes, or population records.

He directed the Revenue Department to ensure accountability in all pending cases and complete them within the stipulated timeframe. Instructions were also given to implement rover-based measurement systems across all districts in the state. Regarding cases of name changes and inheritance, the Chief Minister called for developing a system that enables these processes to be handled automatically.

CM Yogi said this would be crucial for providing citizens with convenient and timely justice. He further instructed to speed up efforts to make the land consolidation process transparent and to implement map and rover-based measurement systems. According to him, not only should rovers be purchased for measurements in all districts, but frameworks should also be prepared for training and practical implementation. For this, engineering colleges, polytechnics, and ITIs can be engaged to assist with training on rover-based measurement.

The Chief Minister directed the Revenue Department to accelerate progress in all tasks and focus on their 100% completion. He stressed speeding up the digitisation of land records so that departmental monitoring becomes easier and benefits the general public. The process of land-use change under Section 80 should be made simple and transparent.

He also advised setting up a call centre-like system at the Revenue Council level to resolve public grievances. Technical use and management in the land consolidation process were also emphasised. All pending cases related to farmer registries, measurements, and land record verifications must be resolved within a fixed timeframe, he added. Instructions were given to make government services such as income certificates, caste certificates, and residence certificates more effective and transparent.

In view of the cold wave in the state, the CM directed the Revenue Department to ensure smooth management of night shelters, arrangements for bonfires in public places, and the distribution of blankets. He stressed that all these tasks be completed on a war footing. Further, he instructed to advance the construction of boundary walls with the cooperation of the Social Welfare Department to protect statues and memorials of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar installed in village panchayats.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also directed the patwaris to set up their offices in panchayat buildings to facilitate the resolution of public issues.
