Vijayawada, June 21: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a yoga session was held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and yoga guru Baba Ramdev participated in the event alongside thousands of attendees.

Baba Ramdev addressed the media, stating that yoga has been embraced worldwide, with many experiencing its benefits. He emphasized that the world currently faces numerous challenges, including health issues, social problems, political conflicts, and the stresses of personal and corporate life. In such times, yoga has emerged as the most effective means to tackle these difficulties.

He noted that people across the country and around the globe are celebrating International Yoga Day with enthusiasm. Amidst the rising stress and mental pressure of modern lifestyles, yoga provides a pathway to a healthy and balanced life. He urged everyone to practice yoga daily, highlighting that it is not merely exercise but a comprehensive lifestyle.

Baba Ramdev described yoga as a way of life for the ill and a source of strength, energy, and confidence for the youth. He referred to India as the land of yoga, asserting that it strengthens individuals physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Balakrishna, Managing Director of Patanjali, spoke with news agencies, stating that yoga is the true path to health, happiness, prosperity, and balance. While the world chases material achievements, yoga offers inner peace and genuine joy.

He revealed that this year, over 16.7 million registrations for Yoga Day were recorded, setting a new record. The government’s aim is to integrate yoga into people’s daily routines, fostering a healthy, prosperous, and happy Andhra Pradesh. This year’s Yoga Day event is considered historic in terms of public participation and enthusiasm.

Balakrishna concluded by stating that yoga teaches us essential life lessons. We seek happiness, joy, prosperity, and development. While the world pursues material possessions, our work, careers, businesses, and studies are driven by our capabilities and qualifications.
