Major Reshuffle in Chhattisgarh Forest Department: 24 IFS Officers Transferred

Raipur, August 9: The Chhattisgarh government has executed a significant administrative reshuffle within the Forest Department, transferring 24 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers.

According to the issued orders, Ganveer Dhammshil has been moved from Balodabazar district to serve as the Special Secretary in the Department of Forest and Climate Change. Meanwhile, Uttam Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the Chief Conservator of Forests in charge of the Indravati Tiger Reserve.

Duleshwar Prasad Sahu has been assigned to the Manendragarh Forest Division, while Pankaj Rajput has been appointed as the new Deputy Conservator of Forests in Raipur. Prabhakar Khalkho will oversee the Sarguja Working Plan Division as the Conservator of Forests.

The appointments, as per the order issued by the Department of Forest and Climate Change from the Mahanadi Bhawan in New Raipur, are temporary until further notice.

Sanjeev Bala has been transferred from the Indravati Tiger Reserve to the former Manendragarh Division, while Mayank Pandey has moved from Mahasamund to Gariaband. Satya Dev Sharma has been assigned as DFO in Dhamtari from the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation.

Other notable changes include Omprakash Sundi being sent to Mahasamund, Jitendra Kumar Upadhyay to Katghora, and Sanjay Yadav returning to Khairagarh from the State Forest Development Corporation. Kumar Nishant has been posted in Marwahi, and Pankaj Kumar Kamal has been transferred back to Balodabazar from the corporation in New Raipur.

Additionally, Pushpalata Tandon has been appointed as DFO for Sarguja-Bilaspur, Loknath Patel for Sarguja-Ambikapur, and Shashinandan K. has been stationed in Kanker. Abhishek Sogawat has been promoted to General Manager of the Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Federation in New Raipur. Ranjak Goyal has been assigned to the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force.

Greeshmi Chand has been sent to the State Forest Development Corporation, while Chandrashekhar Shankar Singh Pardeshi has been appointed as DFO for Korea. Deepesh Kapil has been posted in Bastar-Jagdalpur, and Chandar Kumar Agarwal has been assigned to Durg. Krishna Jain will serve in the State Forest Development Corporation, while Vipul Agarwal has been posted in Surajpur.

This reshuffle considers officers from the 2013 to 2022 batches, aiming to strengthen the administrative framework across forest divisions, tiger reserves, and various units within the department.
