Singer B Praak Visits Mahakal Temple Ahead of Performance in Ujjain

Ujjain, August 9: Devotees are flocking to Shiva temples for rituals during the month of Sawan. On Sunday, the Bharmarati ceremony for Baba Mahakal was held at the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, coinciding with the auspicious Kamika Ekadashi. A large number of devotees gathered to witness this divine event.

Early Sunday morning, after seeking blessings from Lord Veerabhadra, the doors of Baba Mahakal were opened with the sound of drums and trumpets. As devotees caught their first glimpse of Baba Mahakal following the grand decoration and Bharmarati, the temple echoed with chants of “Jai Shri Mahakal.” The atmosphere was filled with the sounds of bells, conch shells, and mantras.

With the opening of the temple doors, the ritual of offering water to Lord Mahakal commenced. The deity was bathed with Panchamrit, made from milk, yogurt, ghee, honey, and fruit juices, along with special adornments of the sun, moon, and bhang.

Singer B Praak also paid his respects at Baba Mahakal’s court. Speaking to reporters, he expressed, “Today, I have come to seek Mahakal’s blessings, and it is a great honor for me to perform in Ujjain for the first time with Mahakal’s grace. The administration has made excellent arrangements here. It is not just for us; all the devotees coming here are being well taken care of, allowing them to easily have a glimpse of Mahakal.”

B Praak announced that he will perform in Ujjain at the behest of Mahakal. He also mentioned that his new devotional song, “Mahakal-2,” will be released soon. The event has been organized by the Madhya Pradesh government, and he extended his heartfelt thanks to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
