New Delhi, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : Former Vice President Hamid Ansari recently faced criticism from BJP spokesperson Yasir Jilani over his remarks regarding Hindus. In a conversation, Jilani questioned why Ansari, who has held prestigious positions in India, seems to harbor animosity towards Hindus.
Jilani stated that speaking negatively about Hindus does not enhance one’s respect; rather, it diminishes it. He labeled Ansari as a “merchant of hate,” emphasizing that India is a peaceful nation with a majority of its citizens valuing harmony. Jilani argued that such statements are merely attempts to stir controversy without yielding any benefits.
He suggested that now that Ansari is retired, he should focus on living a good life and contribute positively, particularly in promoting education. Jilani urged Ansari to communicate any suggestions to the government rather than resorting to divisive rhetoric.
Addressing the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Jilani commented on AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi’s statements, accusing him of engaging solely in religious politics. He noted that both the Congress and Samajwadi Party have formed alliances in the past, with results that the public has witnessed. According to Jilani, the people of Uttar Pradesh have made up their minds to re-elect Yogi Adityanath as Chief Minister, ensuring another term for the BJP.
He criticized the opposition, claiming that the public is dissatisfied with them due to their focus on disputes rather than constructive work. On the alliance between the Samajwadi Party and Congress, Jilani expressed skepticism about their unity, pointing out that Imran Masood has been critical of Akhilesh Yadav and is acting independently.
Jilani also addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding “Vande Mataram,” questioning why some Congress leaders, who often speak about nationalism and culture, hesitate to embrace the full anthem. He asserted that the public will respond to these inconsistencies in due course.
