New Delhi, August 8: A woman has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police against Mohammad Junaid, who was distributing food during the NEET paper leak protest at Jantar Mantar. She accused Junaid of inappropriate behavior and harassment towards women, demanding a public apology from him.
Speaking to a news agency, the woman stated, “Our complaint has been registered. I was called here to provide a statement. Our demand is for a public apology.” She added, “Our complaint is that Junaid behaved inappropriately with girls during the protest. He touched them inappropriately and sent messages late at night.”
The complainant explained, “Many people say that no one spoke out against Junaid during the protest, but there is a reason for that. At that time, Abhijit Deepke and his team stopped me, saying it would disrupt the protest. Others also advised me similarly.”
She alleged that the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) did not take any action regarding her complaint. Despite her objections, Junaid attended the protest. “I have recordings of a girl from the volunteers’ group apologizing for Junaid’s actions during the protest,” she claimed.
The woman insisted on a public apology, stating, “Just as the winner Dahiya was publicly removed from the team, the same should have been done with Junaid. He misbehaved here.”
She reiterated her accusations, mentioning that she approached Abhijit Deepke with her complaint, but he did not take any action against Junaid. She also noted that Junaid traveled to Jharkhand only after her complaint.
