Voters are arriving in large numbers at polling stations across all three states. Long queues have been observed since morning. Prominent figures have also cast their votes early in the day.

In Dibrugarh, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister of State Pabitra Margherita voted at polling station number 21 in the Jorhat assembly constituency. In Ahattguri, Minister Piyush Hazarika and his wife, Amy Barua, also exercised their voting rights. In Barpeta, Assam Assembly Speaker and NDA candidate from Tamulpur LAC, Biswajit Daimary, cast his vote.

Pabitra Margherita stated, “I have come to cast my vote. This is a celebration of democracy, the biggest festival of democracy. I urge everyone to come out and vote for a strong democracy.”

In Thiruvananthapuram, senior Congress leader A.K. Antony voted at Government G.H.C. Jagathy, accompanied by party leader M.M. Hassan. Hassan expressed confidence that their alliance would secure a significant majority, attributing this to the current government’s mismanagement, corruption, and anti-people policies.

LDF candidate Kadanappally Ramachandran voted at Cheruvacheri Government LP School. In Thiruvananthapuram, BJP state president and candidate from Nemom, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, also cast his vote.

UDF candidate K. Muraleedharan from Vattiyurkavu voted at Jawahar Nagar LP School. BJP candidate Shobha Surendran from Palakkad exercised her voting rights at the voting center in Vaddakancheri.

Puducherry’s Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan voted at the DMS office for the assembly elections. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy arrived at the polling station on a bike to cast his vote. Puducherry BJP president and candidate from Raj Bhavan constituency, V.P. Ramalingam, voted at a government school on Perumal Koil Street.

He noted, “I voted this morning. There is a crowd at the polling stations. People have been standing in queues since morning to exercise their voting rights. However, there has been a complaint regarding inadequate facilities for voters at the polling stations in my Raj Bhavan constituency.”

Former Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy also voted in the assembly elections. He emphasized, “I exercised my democratic right by standing in line at the booth to vote. It is the duty of every citizen in India to go out and cast their vote. The situation is very favorable for the ‘India’ alliance in Puducherry.”
