Mumbai, August 20: Actor and voice artist Vijay Vikram Singh has made a name for himself with his voice, and now he is carving out a unique space in the acting world. Known as the voice of ‘Bigg Boss’, Vijay has appeared in several films and web series. In the film ‘Ikka’, he worked alongside prominent actors like Sunny Deol and Akshay Khanna.
In a recent interview, Vijay shared his experience of working with such big names. He recalled his first meeting with Sunny Deol, revealing that he was so excited that he said something he later regretted.
When asked about his feelings working with Sunny Deol and Akshay Khanna, he replied, “It was pure excitement.”
Vijay recounted a humorous incident from his first encounter with Sunny Deol. “When I met Sunny for the first time, I was so thrilled that I didn’t even realize what I was saying. I told Sunny, ‘Sir, you are asking for a date from Damini, and in this film, I will give you a date.'”
This remark referenced Sunny Deol’s iconic role in the 1993 film ‘Damini’, where he portrayed a lawyer fighting for justice. His famous dialogue about “dates” has become synonymous with his identity. Vijay cleverly incorporated this popular line into his conversation with Sunny.
He later expressed regret over what he had said in his excitement. However, Sunny took it in stride, laughing it off. “He is a very kind and lovely person. When we met again at the film’s success party, Sunny even made a video with me about that moment.”
Vijay also shared insights about working with Sunny Deol and Akshay Khanna. He noted, “Every artist has a different working style. As an actor, you need to adapt to the artists around you.”
He described ‘Ikka’ as a pivotal project in his acting journey, crediting director Siddharth P. Malhotra for his clear vision regarding Vijay’s character. “The director had a clear idea about my role, and I easily grasped that vision. I believe that is why people remembered my character in the film.”
