Mumbai, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : Kanwar Dhillon, a well-known television actor, attributes much of his resilience and mindset to his deep-rooted connection with sports. In a recent conversation, Dhillon shared that his passion for athletics has been a significant part of his life since childhood.
Recalling his school days, he mentioned that he was always a standout athlete, excelling as a sprinter and serving as the sports captain. “I have been an athlete my entire life. From primary school, I was the top athlete, participating in nearly all major sports events and representing my school in various competitions,” he said.
Dhillon emphasized that sports not only helped him build physical strength but also taught him how to handle challenges. “Experiencing defeat on the field and learning to try again became valuable life lessons for me. The pressure, fatigue, and difficult situations in acting mirror those I faced in sports,” he explained.
He shared his approach to managing tough days, saying, “My strategy is to keep moving forward and listen to my body and mind. Not every day requires pushing myself the same way. If I have a particularly exhausting schedule and can’t hit the gym, I don’t pressure myself.”
Dhillon believes that understanding one’s limits is crucial for long-term fitness and well-being. “Sometimes, giving your body a break is just as important as working out. I think that recognizing your capabilities helps maintain health and fitness over time,” he added.
During the interview, he also praised fellow actor Siddharth Nigam for his impressive fitness levels and dedication to his craft.
Currently, Kanwar Dhillon stars as Sachin Deshmukh in the popular Star Plus show “Udaan Ki Asha,” alongside Neha Harsora, who plays Sayali.
