Patna, February 17: Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sinha, paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur on his death anniversary. He emphasized that Thakur’s life teaches us that politics is not a means of power, but a duty of service.

In a media interaction, Sinha highlighted that the Government of India honored Karpoori Thakur with the Bharat Ratna. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar have conveyed a message of integrity through their lives and work, aiming to serve society honestly. Sinha believes that both leaders can further Thakur’s legacy, as they practice honest politics and strive for inclusive development, embodying the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and envisioning a caste-free society.

Sinha also criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, questioning how he could uphold Thakur’s legacy while facing corruption allegations.

He described Karpoori Thakur as an unparalleled symbol of equality, struggle, and simplicity, who redirected Bihar’s political landscape. Thakur created policies for the rights of the poor, ensured justice for the backward classes, and ignited a beacon of integrity in public life that continues to guide the BJP and NDA today. His life serves as a reminder that politics is a service, not a tool for power.

Responding to Tejashwi Yadav’s comments about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Sinha stated that Yadav is frustrated and may say anything.

Sinha also shared updates on the NDA government’s initiatives, revealing that all services on the Bihar Land Portal are now fully online. After server maintenance, data security, transparency, and efficiency have improved. The area measurement will now be standardized in acres and decimals instead of hectares.

He mentioned that under the ‘Saat Nischay-3’ initiative, significant steps have been taken to elevate education in Bihar, with 55 prestigious educational institutions selected as Centers of Excellence.
