Vice President Radhakrishnan Embarks on Three-Day Tour of Karnataka, Goa, and Kerala

New Delhi, May 29: Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan will begin a three-day tour of Karnataka, Goa, and Kerala starting Friday. During this visit, he will participate in official events as well as religious and cultural ceremonies.

On Friday, the Vice President will attend a global celebration marking the 45th anniversary of the Art of Living Foundation in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

According to an official statement, later that day, he will join the platinum jubilee celebrations at the BDT College of Engineering in Davangere, Karnataka.

On May 30, the Vice President will participate in Goa’s State Foundation Day celebrations in Panaji. Later that day, he will visit the CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography located in Goa.

On May 31, he will visit the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Temple. He will also inaugurate the SIRI Industrial Park in Belthangady, Karnataka.

Later that day, he will travel to Kerala, where he will inaugurate the 140th anniversary celebrations of the Deepika Malayalam Daily in Kottayam.

The statement noted that he will also visit Kannur, where he will attend a private event hosted by Rajya Sabha member C. Sadanandan Master.

Last week, Vice President Radhakrishnan appointed BJP member Raghav Chadha as the new chairperson of the petition committee in the Rajya Sabha.

This committee was restructured on May 20, with other members including J.B. Mather Hisham, Harsh Mahajan, Ghulam Ali, Mayank Kumar Nayak, Mastan Rao Yadav Bidha, Subhashish Khuntia, Vangra Narjari, Santosh Kumar P., and Shambhu Sharan Patel.

Chadha received this significant responsibility shortly after joining the BJP from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) along with six other MPs.

In April, seven Rajya Sabha MPs, including Raghav Chadha, Ashok Mittal, Sandeep Pathak, Harbhajan Singh, Vikram Sahni, Swati Maliwal, and Rajinder Gupta, left AAP to join the BJP. This move dealt a significant blow to AAP, reducing its seats in the upper house from ten to just three.

Immediately after, Chadha met with President Droupadi Murmu to raise concerns about the alleged misuse of government resources by the AAP-led government in Punjab.
