New Delhi, February 16: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has targeted Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge for his recent allegations against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). VHP spokesman Vinod Bansal criticized Kharge for accusing the RSS of money laundering, asserting that he is part of a group intent on undermining Sanatan Dharma.

In a conversation, Bansal stated that Kharge belongs to a faction that seeks to destroy Sanatan Dharma. This group is consistently engaged in efforts to diminish Hinduism, Hindutva, and traditional Sanatan values. He pointed out that this is the same party that claimed to impose a ban on Bajrang Dal before and during the Karnataka elections.

Bansal further alleged that Congress leaders make such comments for political gain. He remarked that Kharge, being a significant leader in Congress, aims to compete with Rahul Gandhi by making these statements. However, he emphasized that Kharge’s remarks about the RSS reveal a clear truth: Congress has been involved in money laundering cases, with several leaders facing court proceedings and some even imprisoned.

He claimed that instead of self-reflection, the party is attempting to gain publicity. Bansal advised Kharge to visit various branches of the RSS to understand them better. He warned that if he does so, he will have to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram,’ which may make him uncomfortable, given that his leaders oppose such expressions. He urged Congress to move beyond this mindset, stating that no one is willing to accept them today.

Earlier in the day, a heated debate erupted between Kharge and BJP leaders over his comments against the RSS, with both sides exchanging accusations regarding ideology and development issues. BJP leaders were responding to Kharge’s remarks made in Bengaluru, where he accused the RSS of being involved in money laundering and questioned its sources of income.
