Patna, October 13 (Udaipur Kiran): The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) on Sunday announced a 14-member squad for the first two matches of the Ranji Trophy 2025–26 season. BCA President Harshvardhan said, “This team represents a fine blend of experience and youthful energy. We are confident that it will deliver a strong performance in the Ranji Trophy. Vaibhav’s recent form has been outstanding, which reflects the depth of cricketing talent in Bihar. We believe this team will make a strong claim in the tournament.”

Earlier this year, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made headlines when he smashed a century off just 52 balls against England in the fourth Under-19 ODI. Following that performance, the BCA President had predicted that the young batter would go on to break several records in the future.

In the IPL 2025 season, Vaibhav represented Rajasthan Royals (RR), scoring 252 runs in seven matches, emerging as one of the season’s most promising young players. He also had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Patna earlier this year, recognizing his exceptional rise in Indian domestic cricket.
