Dehradun, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : The Uttarakhand government has officially declared the film “Hanuman Ansh” tax-free in the state. This decision was communicated through a letter from Banshidhar Tiwari, the Director General of Information and Public Relations and CEO of UFDCA, to the Commissioner of State Tax.
As part of this initiative, the government will reimburse the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) paid on services provided by multiplexes and theaters for the film’s screening. This means that audiences will not be charged SGST when watching the film.
“Hanuman Ansh” tells the story of Lakshman Das, who later became known as Neem Karoli Baba. The film explores his spiritual journey, depicting how he evolved into a figure of devotion for millions.
Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, who previously directed “Warning” in 2013, “Hanuman Ansh” features Shobhinav Satya in the role of Neem Karoli Baba. Chandan K. Anand plays Dr. Ram Nandan Bhosale, while other notable actors include Purnima Tiwari and Anil Rastogi.
The film’s soundtrack has significantly contributed to its popularity. Notably, the songs “Maine Tere Hi Bharose Hanuman” and “Parvati” have resonated with audiences. The former was sung by 25-year-old visually impaired artist Sunil Lodhi, while “Parvati” has also gained considerable acclaim.
Audiences have embraced the film, which started with a modest collection of just 1 million rupees in theaters. Even after 35 days of release, it continues to draw viewers, especially during weekends, witnessing a remarkable surge in earnings. The film has already grossed over 200 crore rupees in India.
