Uttarakhand CM Criticizes Rahul Gandhis Understanding of Indian Culture

Banbasa, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken aim at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him out for his recent remarks at the ‘Students’ Echo’ event in Indore. In an interview, Dhami referred to Gandhi as “Yuvraj,” suggesting that he has transitioned from a leader to a comedian.

Dhami expressed concerns that Gandhi appears disconnected from Indian culture and values. He noted that Gandhi’s behavior lacks the essence of Indian traditions. Citing a recent incident where Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered a seat to an elderly woman, Dhami criticized Gandhi for mocking this gesture.

The Chief Minister stated that Gandhi’s conduct on stage has often been inappropriate and unrefined. He emphasized that Gandhi is no longer acting as a leader but is instead attempting to adopt a comedic persona.

In discussing national security, Dhami praised National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, calling him a source of pride for both the nation and Uttarakhand. He condemned the derogatory language sometimes directed at Doval, asserting that such disrespect is unacceptable not only in Uttarakhand but across the entire country.

Dhami also addressed comments made by Congress leaders regarding the late General Bipin Rawat, whom he honored as a distinguished figure from Uttarakhand who dedicated his life to the nation’s security. He stressed the importance of respecting military officials and those involved in national defense.

On the topic of women’s empowerment, the Chief Minister highlighted that the number of ‘Lakshmi Didis’ in Uttarakhand has surpassed 310,000. He noted that women in the state are making significant strides in self-employment and entrepreneurship, with an increasing demand for their products both domestically and internationally.

Dhami mentioned several initiatives aimed at enhancing employment and self-employment opportunities for women and youth, including the Mukhyamantri Saksham Bahna Utsav Yojana and the Mahalakshmi Kit Scheme. He expressed pride in fulfilling the promise made to the people of Uttarakhand to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), which was developed after consultations with various stakeholders.

Under Modi’s leadership, Dhami stated, the state has received a mandate from the public to advance these initiatives, which are now gaining momentum across the nation.
