
Tokyo, February 26: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a two-day visit to Japan. During his trip, he traveled on a Japanese train, reaching speeds of 501 km/h. He shared his experience of this high-speed journey on social media.
In a video, CM Yogi showcased the onboard speed display. He captured images while the train surpassed the impressive speed of 501 kilometers per hour. He stated, “You can see that I was traveling at 501 km/h. I experienced Japan’s advanced SCMAGLEV train in Yamanashi, a next-generation high-speed system that reaches speeds of up to 500 kilometers per hour, showcasing the future of clean, efficient, and precise mobility.”
CM Yogi praised Japanese technology, noting, “Traveling at such high speeds was smooth and remarkably stable, demonstrating Japan’s commitment to innovation and high-quality infrastructure. When technology operates at this speed, the future feels closer than ever.”
He also shared a photo of Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest peak and a UNESCO World Heritage site. He remarked, “Mount Fuji symbolizes strength, discipline, and spiritual balance. It was a privilege to see this magnificent mountain, a symbol of Japan’s enduring beauty and cultural pride, on a bright sunny day. Thank you, Japan!”
During his visit, students in Yamanashi welcomed the Chief Minister. He expressed his joy on social media, stating, “I had the opportunity to interact with young students in Yamanashi, and I was delighted by their warmth, discipline, and enthusiasm. Their innocent love and curiosity reflect the deep cultural ties between our two nations. I extend my heartfelt blessings to these young minds and wish them a future filled with knowledge, character, and success.”
In Yamanashi Prefecture, CM Yogi engaged in discussions with Governor Kotaro Nagasaki to strengthen cooperation between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi, advancing a strategic partnership. He announced the signing of an MOU aimed at deepening collaboration in industry, tourism, and vocational education, with a particular focus on green hydrogen, clean energy innovation, and technology exchange.
He added that Uttar Pradesh is developing IIT Kanpur as a Center of Excellence in green hydrogen to enhance energy self-sufficiency and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a sustainable future.
CM Yogi welcomed the Governor’s proposal to lead a delegation of 200 CEOs to Uttar Pradesh in August, which aims to accelerate industrial partnerships and investments.
