Uruguayan Ambassador Celebrates PM Modis Birthday, Praises His Visionary Leadership

New Delhi, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : The Uruguayan Ambassador to India, Alberto Antonio Guani Amarilla, extended warm birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday. He commended Modi for his strong leadership and visionary approach during a conversation on Thursday.

Amarilla noted that PM Modi has had a significant “positive impact” as both the Chief Minister of Gujarat and now as Prime Minister of India. He emphasized Modi’s commitment to sharing his vision for development and public welfare with various countries, including all BRICS member nations.

He remarked, “We believe that his vision of connecting all countries through development is a very important aspect. Prime Minister Modi has conveyed this thought to all BRICS members. Today, India serves as an example in many ways, and we feel that his strong leadership has truly brought about significant change.”

As India holds the presidency of BRICS in 2026, it recently hosted the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 12 to 13. Leaders from BRICS member states, partner countries, and invited outreach nations gathered for the event.

The BRICS group includes Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, Belarus, Cuba, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Uganda, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam are collaborating nations within BRICS.

On PM Modi’s birthday, Ambassador Amarilla expressed his happiness, stating, “As our Foreign Minister recently mentioned, we really need him. His influence is very positive, so we wish him all the best and hope to celebrate many more birthdays with him as a great leader.”

Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, PM Modi has been serving as Prime Minister since May 26, 2014, and is currently in his third term, making him the longest-serving elected Prime Minister of India. He was Gujarat’s Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014, and this year marks 25 years of his public service.

Praising Modi’s efforts to mediate in the Ukraine conflict, Amarilla stated that Modi’s policies have established India as a capable mediator in global conflicts. He added, “The way Prime Minister Modi perceives the world has truly changed as he has presented India as a mediator. Unfortunately, conflicts are ongoing in many areas. His approach during discussions with Russian leaders about the need to stop the war has been very positive.”

Looking ahead to PM Modi’s 25 years in public service, Amarilla remarked, “This proves that he is a highly experienced individual. He demonstrated strong leadership in his home state of Gujarat, and as Prime Minister, he has implemented that good work across India. We are confident that he is very aware of his responsibilities. We truly commend him as we believe his impact is very positive.”
