CJP Leader Abhijit Dipke Released, Mother Expresses Anguish Over Missing Grandmothers Funeral

Hingoli, October 11 (Daily Kiran) : Abhijit Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP), was unable to attend his grandmother’s funeral, prompting his mother, Anita Dipke, to voice her frustration. Speaking to the media on Sunday, she expressed that if her son had been released on Saturday, he could have been present to say his final goodbyes.

Anita Dipke stated, “If Abhijit had been released yesterday, he could have attended his grandmother’s funeral today. Now, he won’t even see her face one last time.”

She further questioned the rationale behind her son’s detention, asking, “What crime has he committed that he couldn’t attend his grandmother’s funeral? Is he a terrorist or a traitor? The government often releases those who have committed serious offenses. What wrong has my son done?”

Abhijit Dipke’s grandmother passed away on Sunday in their ancestral village of Santuk Pimpri in the Hingoli district after a brief illness. Meanwhile, Abhijit was in Delhi participating in a protest.

The Delhi police detained him at the airport while he was still on the plane, along with fellow activists Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka. They were all released on Sunday morning.

According to a police statement, the trio was apprehended on Saturday under sections 126/170 of the BNS Act for precautionary reasons. They were presented before the executive magistrate‘s court in Delhi Cantonment, where they were granted bail after submitting a bond of ₹50,000 to maintain peace and good behavior for one year.
