Urgent Life Certification Process for Pensioners in Sheikhpura by March 31

Sheikhpura, March 28: An important meeting was held by the District Social Security Cell in Sheikhpura, Bihar, to expedite the life certification process for pensioners. The meeting took place at the district collectorate and was chaired by the Assistant Director. All development friends were instructed to inform pensioners and ensure their life certification is completed within two days.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that beneficiaries of various pension schemes under the Social Security Cell, including the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities, receive their pension amounts via Direct Benefit Transfer into their bank accounts every month. It is mandatory for all pensioners to undergo life certification at least once a year. If this process is not completed by March 31, pension payments may be interrupted, leading to potential difficulties.

The administration clarified that all pensioners in the district can get their life certification done for free at the nearest Common Service Center (CSC). For beneficiaries whose fingerprints do not work, iris scanning facilities are also available. In case of any technical issues related to Aadhaar, they are advised to update their information at the nearest Aadhaar center.

According to the District Social Security Cell, a total of 81,461 pensioners in Sheikhpura need to complete their life certification. So far, 54,673 (approximately 67.23 percent) beneficiaries have been verified, while 26,692 (around 32.77 percent) pensioners are still pending certification.

District Magistrate Shekhar Anand has appealed to all pensioners to complete the life certification process as soon as possible to ensure timely and uninterrupted pension payments. The district administration urges remaining beneficiaries to visit their nearest CSC without delay to avoid any issues in receiving their pensions.
