Lucknow, June 15: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 295 positions under the Platoon Commander/Block Organizer main examination 2026. This recruitment is for 52 Platoon Commander positions and 243 Block Organizer positions, managed by the Home Guards Headquarters in Lucknow.
Among the 243 Block Organizer positions, there are 98 unreserved, 48 for Scheduled Castes, 2 for Scheduled Tribes, 71 for Other Backward Classes, and 24 for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). For the 52 Platoon Commander positions, there are 23 unreserved, 11 for Scheduled Castes, 1 for Scheduled Tribes, 12 for Other Backward Classes, and 5 for EWS.
The online application process for these 295 vacancies will commence on June 16 and will close on July 6. Candidates wishing to apply can complete their registration on the official UPSSSC portal once the link is activated. Additionally, a correction window for applicants who make errors in their application forms will be available until July 13.
Applicants must hold a graduation degree from a recognized institution, board, or university. The minimum age for candidates is set at 21 years, while the maximum age is 40 years, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories.
All applicants are required to pay a processing fee of ₹25 online while filling out the application form. Selection will be based on the standardized scores from the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025), followed by the main written examination, physical standards, physical efficiency test, and merit list. The monthly salary for the Block Organizer position ranges from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300, while for the Platoon Commander position, it ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
