New Delhi, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the recruitment of 212 positions across various ministries and departments. This news comes as many young people in India continue to prefer government jobs over private sector opportunities.
Among the vacancies are four Specialist Grade-III Assistant Professors in Anatomy and 60 in General Medicine at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Indian Bureau of Mines under the Ministry of Mines seeks two Assistant Editors. Additionally, there are positions for one Specialist Grade-II (Junior Scale) in Anesthesiology and one in Pediatrics at the New Delhi Municipal Council. The Directorate of Prosecution under the Delhi Government has 140 openings for Assistant Public Prosecutors. Lastly, four roles for Public Law Officers, District Litigation Officers, or Law Officers are available in the Law and Justice Department of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The online application process will commence on September 12, with the deadline set for October 2 at 6 PM for most positions. However, candidates applying for roles in Ladakh have until October 9 to submit their applications. Interested candidates can register on the UPSC’s official website before the respective deadlines.
Applicants must possess relevant qualifications such as a postgraduate degree in Anatomy (MS/MD/DNB) or a related field, an MBBS with a postgraduate degree in General Medicine, or a postgraduate degree/diploma in Anesthesiology. For journalism roles, a bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Mass Communication along with a diploma in the same field is required. Candidates in Pediatrics must hold a postgraduate degree/diploma (MD Pediatrics or equivalent) and a law degree is necessary for legal positions. Relevant work experience is also required as per the job specifications.
The upper age limit for candidates varies between 30 to 50 years, depending on the position, with age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per government regulations.
Selection will be based on application scrutiny, interviews, and document verification. Selected candidates can expect salaries ranging from Level-7 to Level-11 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, along with additional benefits.
During the application process, candidates must pay a registration fee of ₹25 for General/OBC/EWS categories, while women, SC/ST, and PWD candidates are exempt from this fee.
